Payee & Notes Templates v1 📚

Many users asked for more flexibility in configuring the payee and notes fields, and we’re happy to deliver!

This initial release enables easily expressing very complex configuration rules in an easily readable syntax (check out the examples), looking forward to what you do with this!

Balance Selection

GoCardless (our banking provider) returns multiple balances for each account, some examples are:

• Multiple held balances in different currencies for multi-currency accounts (like PayPal)

• Amount spent and Amount available to spend for credit cards.

Lunch Flow can’t always automatically determine which balance to use, so if you find you’re getting the incorrect balance, you can always configure which balance to use for syncing in the account configuration.

Based on user feedback, some people preferred a file export to feed into their offline budgeting or accounting software, and we’re happy to oblige!

Now you can easily configure a file export as another destination, select your desired bank accounts, and get your transactions in CSV or OFX formats 🎉

With many users showing interest in more than 4 bank connections, rather than coming up with arbitrary thresholds, Lunch Flow now allows you to pay exactly for the number of connections you need, and not more! You can easily configure this on the billing page.

The pricing starts at £5 per month for 4 connections, and £1 per additional connection after that. Yearly plans give you 2 free months, with £50 per year for 4 connections, and £10 per additional connection.

With that said, I’d never want pricing to be the only reason you’d hold back from using Lunch Flow! If you have a large volume of connections or would like to discuss pricing, feel free to email me at hello@lunchflow.app.

My goal behind Lunch Flow has been to complement Lunch Money’s mission of streamlining personal finance management. While Lunch Money is quite flexible, it’s tough to beat the flexibility of a good old Google Sheet.

Now you can sync your bank data into a Google Sheet, which makes it quite easy to build customized views, perform complex analysis, or even create templates that can be shared with the community! The possibilities are endless 🤩

I also took this opportunity to simplify the account configuration UI and streamline the app's navigation.
